I got a book for one kid but not the other

If you received a book for one of your children, but not another, there could be a few reasons for that:

  1. The Imagination Library mails out books to almost 3 million children a month across the globe. As a result, different ages are mailed at different times.
    1. You can check the status at any time by logging into your parent account at www.degoodfoundation.org/parents
  2. If you are new to the program, it will take 8-12 weeks for your first book to arrive as Imagination Library books are ordered one month in advance.
  3. Some age groups are mailed closer to the end of the month, making them arrive early the following month. The label on your book will tell you what month the book is intended for.
  4. Occasionally, specific localities (cities/counties) will have delivery issues specific to mail carriers.
  5. To ensure the books are at the Imagination Library target price, they are mailed as third-class bulk, which is the lowest priority mail for USPS. This means it may take longer than expected to receive.

Unfortunately, we are unable to track individual books. Books are mailed using a USPS Bulk-Rate that does not include the service of tracking on each individual book. Your book is one of several books that are bound together with one barcode, and scanned as a bulk-package as they make their way through the USPS system.

Unfortunately, we do not have extra books available to replace ones that are missing or damaged. Imagination Library orders books one month in advance and ships them directly from their facility in Tennessee to children’s homes. Because of this, we do not keep extra books in stock.
